MSI Receives ISO Certification
08/07/2007
MSI has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by National Quality Assurance-USA (NQA, USA).
The award demonstrates MSI's commitment to meet or exceed the expectations of its worldwide customers. "MSI is very proud to have its quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2000," said MSI CEO Dr. Leslie Bowen. "For over 16 years, MSI has been known for providing the highest quality transducers, acoustic arrays, and advanced materials to its customers. Now this independent certification will provide even greater assurance to our customers that we can satisfy their needs with high quality products."
The ISO certification represents the culmination of 14 months of effort by the entire company. The effort was led by Ms. Connie Ursch, who received strong support from MSI's engineering and manufacturing departments, as well as the administration and senior management staff. "This was truly a team effort, and it could not have been accomplished without the strong and steady participation from all parts of the company," said Tim Mayo, Director of Manufacturing, whose organization spearheaded the implementation program.
ISO 9001:2000 was developed by the International Organization for Standardization. ISO standards are widely respected and accepted by public and private sectors internationally. Achieving ISO certification requires a company to demonstrate its use of well-documented and highly-disciplined controls and processes to ensure consistency and predictability of product quality. Audits are then performed on an annual basis to demonstrate compliance with these quality standards.
MSI's ISO 9001:2000 certificate number is 12341.
